Open Doors Open Minds

Naseef is a volunteer in a Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding program called Open Doors Open Minds. His job is to give information about UAE’s culture and Islam, and to promote awareness as well as understanding amongst various nationalities visiting Dubai. Open Doors Open Minds takes place in Jumeirah Mosque, definitely one of the best mosques I have ever visited.
Naseef is a US citizen and he had more than 10 businesses before he decided sell them all and go back to the UAE to volunteer. He is doing it for his wife and daughter and hoping he can change the world’s perception towards Islam.
I highly recommend this program if you visit Dubai, it is very intelectually stimulating. If you do go, don’t forget to ask why Emirati men wear white, and women wear black.
